Sewer Information

Still in process of working out details on the Sewer Charges.  Will update as soon as final information is released.

Remember to look at the back of your sewer bill from Baldwin County Sewer Service, LLC

Your bill reflects a credit given to you by SCSS for a portion of the amount you have paid in excess of $32.50 for wastewater treatment services provided to you since January 1, 2008. This credit is given by SCSS in good faith pursuant to the terms of a proposed settlement agreement between South Alabama Utility Service and the Property Owner’s Association representing you .  Since the settlement agreement has not been finalized and executed between the parties, this credit is given with a reservation of rights by BCSS to reverse such credit in the event the settlement agreement proposed is not reached with the Property Owner’s Association representing you.  If you have any questions concerning this, please call BCSS and your Property Owner’s Association.

The agreement is still being held up!  Please make sure you keep your dollars handy for the sewer bill just in case the bill is not worked out!

Sewer Rate Settlement

The Glenlakes Sewer Rate Committee met with Baldwin County Sewer Service representatives on January 20, 2009.  After eight months of bargaining, we have reached a negotiated settlement.  We are pleased to tell you that effective with your March 2009 sewer bill there will be a reduction of the monthly sewer rate.  The settlement has terms for providing the current property owners with credit for the overcharges of the monthly sewer rate and refunding of overcharges of the sewer tap fees to the current property owners within Glenlakes Subdivision.

The agreement is being drafted as a legal document that will be tied to the original Sewer Agreement (dated September 1991).  After the agreement has been signed and recorded, you will receive information on the details of the settlement.  We anticipate these legal formalities will be completed within the next 30 days.

We appreciate everyone’s support and patience during this process.

David Vosloh served as facilitator for our meetings with BCSS. He represented Glenlakes Realty, the developer of Glenlakes Subdivision.  The Committee appreciated the insight David provided for maintaining the integrity of the original contract between the sewer company and the developer.
