	*Lakeview Estates “Yard of the Month”*

Attention Landscape Lovers! Each month the Beautification Committee will be selecting one yard in the subdivision as the “Yard of the Month”. The selection will be based on curb appeal, creativity, color, grass and design. Each 12 month period, the winner’s names will be put in a hat and three (3) names will be drawn to win gift cards. Let’s all take pride in our yards and we will all be winners.

	Each month the five residents in yellow on the Yard of Month Committee each drive through Lakeview Estates by themselves and writes down four or five homes for votes. They then get together and list the homes that each had picked for the month. Most of the time there are certain homes that get multiple votes. This is the home that they pick for “Yard of Month”.

Yard of Month for 2010-2011
August 2010 The yard of Month selection for August is Henry “Hank” and Shirley Alexander. They live at 9116 Clubhouse Drive. They have a beautiful home and yard. The colors and landscaping really looks good. If you get a chance drop by and take a look. Congratulation Hank and Shirley.
July 2010 The yard of Month selections for July is Gene and Evelyn Moore. They live at 22595 Co Road 12. Outstanding job with flowers and landscaping. Congratulations on a yard well done.
June 2010 The yard of Month selection for June is Jim and Sherry Garner. They live at 9311 Lakeview Drive. The flowers are beautiful with all the different colors. Keep up the great work Jim and Sherry.
May 2010 The yard of Month selection for May is Jim and Joni Loock. They live at 9200 Lakeview Drive. You need to check out the new fountain they have when you are going into the front door. The picture does not do the yard justice. We were not able to include the flowers on the right of the yard. Take a ride down to 9200 Lakeview Dr and check out their yard.

Yard of Months for 2009-2010
April 2010 The Yard of Month selection for April is George and Brenda Stone. They live at 9349 Lakeview Drive. Since moving in several months ago George and Brenda have completely reconstructed their front lawn and flower beds. The home was vacant for several months and was an eye sore to the neighborhood. Due to the hard work and imagination, they have really improved the lawn and beds. Everyone is glad to have the Stones in Lakeview Estates and their yard is an asset to the neighborhood.
March 2010 The Beautification Committee has selected Connie Stacey's yard at 9131 Clubhouse as March Yard of the Month. Connie has a well maintained yard, nicely pruned shrubs and trees, is free of debris and has a beautiful fountain and wreath on her door. Her yard is an asset to our Community reminding all of us how nice our yards can be when well maintained and pruned. Thanks to Connie for her efforts.
February 2010 John & Eleanor Thompson were selected for the “Yard of the Month” for February 2010. Their address is 9341 Lakeview Drive. Eleanor does most of the work in the yard. What she does not do she directs John. John takes the credit but Eleanor is the main force behind them winning “Yard of the Month”..
January 2010 Bob & Carolyn Gunterman were selected for the “Yard of the Month” for January 2010. They live at 9335 Lakeview Drive. Bob and Carolyn do the work in the yard. Normally, Thursdays are their day to do all the yard work. No Golf, playing or beach on Thursdays!!!! Even with the cold weather they were able to have beautiful flowers blooming. Of course after the hard freeze that may be the end of the flowers. Congratulations for being the January “Yard of the Month”
December 2009 Ed & Linda Hewitt are selected for the “Yard of the Month” for December. They are located at 9320 Clubhouse Drive. Both Ed and Linda do the work in the yard. They have some of the most beautiful knock out roses that you have ever seen. Linda is in charge of the roses!! Congratulations for being the December “Yard of Month”.
November 2009 Wayne & Linda Terry are selected for the “Yard of the Month” for November. They are located at 9358 Lakeview Drive. Now that the Wayne & Linda are Yard of Month, Wayne said his wife Linda is really putting the pressure on him to keep the yard cut and make sure the leaves are raked up. Congratulations ......on Yard of Month.
October 2009 Fred & Loralea Blake are selected for the “Yard of the Month” for October. They are located at 9005 Fairway Dr. (Corner of Fairway & County Road 12 with the white fence and pool in the back of the home.) Their back is as nice as the front. Both Fred and Loralea do the work in the yard. Congratulations on a nice yard!
September 2009 Barbara Hayes and James A. Grago are selected for the “Yard of the Month” for September. They are located at 9120 Clubhouse Drive. The flowers are very nice and color everywhere. Congratulations on a very nice yard.
August 2009 Bill and Cheryl Johnson has been choosen for “Yard of the Month” for August 2009. Their address is 9865 Fairway Drive. Bill decided last year to start improving his yard. He designed a plan and then worked all year implementing the plan. It really turned out and we all know how much work he put into his yard. Since Bill is still working as a “Financial Advisor” and Cheryl has a full time job running her business time is limited for work in the yard. Great job considering both work full time.
July 2009 Ewald and Ursela Kreft are the “Yard of the Month” for July 2009. Their address is 9500 Lakeview Drive. Great yard for July. Make sure you see their yard. It is the last one on Lakeview before you get to the Dam and Carnoustie Dr.
June 2009 Michael Flanagan is the “Yard of the Month” for June 2009. Michael lives at 9285 Fairway Drive. His back yard is as impressive as his front. He has really done an outstanding job on his yard in the last several month.
May 2009 Donald Chandler is the “Yard of the Month” for May 2009. They live at 9308 Lakeview Drive. Check it out.
